Why?

Why din my parents study well when they were young?

They must have been slackers, always go town (Er.. chinatown?) and never mug, tts y get U for every subject. My mum only got the PSLE cert while my dad holds O level cert. Hence, they earn very little money now.

And hence, I don't get to live in big 5 storeys bungalow or condos with swimming pool and gym and tennis court.

Thats why i live in a humble HDB flat at Woodlands where practically everywhere around Singapore takes damn long to reach, except Johor Bahru.

Thats why i dun get to be driven to school early in the morning, looking neat and glam. Instead, i have to run and chase for the last bus every morning, squeeze with the crowd while feeling sweaty and sticky, hair getting messed up by the blasting aircon, and sometimes stand throughout the trip while watching pigs that are seated sleep, until the bus reaches NJC, where i get to sit for 1 stop.

Also, thats why i never get rewards for getting good exam results. From digimons to bicycles to handphones to gameboy to PSP that my classmates get for achieving results LOUSIER than mine, i only get "Keep it up" as an encouragement.

That why my angbao money always fluctuates around $100-$200 (never exceeds $200), and sometimes have to be confiscated by my mother. She explains that she has to give angbao money to my cousins too.

Thats also why i get a miserable amount of pocketmoney every month by my father which is never enough. He keeps to his point that a healthy 17 year old with a vibrant social life packed with entertainment should just be given enough money for eating 1 meal in school, cause the first meal should have been eaten as breakfast at home (wow, i might reach school at 8 everyday then). Water is the purest and healthiest form of liquid and should not be replaced by any flavoured drinks like vitasoy or milo. Furthermore, a healthy 17 year old with a vibrant social life packed with entertainment should return home everyday after school, hence there isnt a need for spending money. Last but not least, lecture notes and class/school events are usually free of charge cause these never happened when my brother was in JC, 8 years ago.

And thats also why i feel so constrained buying any things in my wishlist, cause asking for money will entail 10 minutes of hesistaion, 10 minutes of explanation, 10 minutes of education. By then, you are *hinted* not to ask for money ever again, unless you have 30 minutes to spare.

Damn, i should start mugging now and save my future offsprings from this torment.
