Do you still remember 5 years ago?

That day, when the world changed.

5 years ago I was still in Primary 6.

Seriously, at that age, I couldn't have bother about a collapsed building in US. I was probably more fascinated by terrorists who seems to be capable of planting bombs everywhere and scaring the hell out of everyone.

But soon, 'terrorism' became a popular topic for English and GP essays.

And I grew up to truly understand the events that happened on that direful day, 20010911.

I became interested about the whole incident, and kept a lookout for films on it.

I once watched a documentry on 911 on Discovery Channel.
An interviewed eye-witness said something that jerked me.

"Every few seconds, we will hear a loud 'thud'. Not because of falling debris, but because of people who have jumped down from atop."

Desperation, Despair, Hopelessness.

What could have make someone leap off from a petrifying 80+ storey, deciding that its the best way of dying?

And all these, were just innocent civilians.

Retaliation is a childish way of solving problems. And using violence is even worse.

Hijacking airplanes, crashing into buildings, killing innocent people.
What did these murderers thought they could attain through such cruelty?

Recognition? Attention? Sympathy?

No.

What the world saw was,
The brutality of terrorism. The evil of terrorism. The atrocity of terrorism.

But, they rejoice. They triumph their success.

Your God claims that dying with a purpose is heroic, but our God wants us to live on, with a purpose.

What right do you all have, to take the lives of others, based on your own beliefs?

I cannot and will never understand how killing others, instilling fear and desperation into other human beings is ever divine, or glorious.

Everything in the world has changed over five years.

Except for our vivid memories of that fateful day.
