I remembered my countdown to 2006 last year at Marina Bay.

It was the lousiest countdown ever because there was no countdown.

No 3....,2.....,1....... "Happy New Year!!! *hug hug* *muacks muacks*" thing. I think it was because everyone was preoccupied with touching everyone else amongst the crowd at the Esplanade that they forgot to look at their watch.

WTH the fireworks just shot out suddenly and everyone finally stopped squeezing and molesting every other, and stood there to watch the fireworks.

Despite entering 2006 in a blur, the fireworks were WOW-WAH-WEE-ly beautiful. And I thought 2006 would be a beautiful year ahead too!

Looking back 2006...

I got into HCJC along with everyone else from high school, with my fantastic results of straight A in 'O' levels.

For the first few days, I think i was from OG9, with some yadda yadda people which I have forgotten almost everyone of them. Was really shy. A few days wasn't enough to open me up lo. :(

Then, we got into our classes. I remembered that morning when the class list was announced, I was late as usual and yutse smsed me in the morning to congratulate me. He said I will be very lucky cause my class is very nice. 666, so cool. -_-'

It was so scary on the first day when everyone gathered with their new classes.

Ya, I am a freaking introverted loner that daos everyone I see and speak less than 10 words everyday. And thanks changboon for reminding that I had to sit alone, because everyone looked so foreign to me.

It took some time for everyone to really open up and get to know each other better. And to see the real side of everyone, good or bad. =/

Within months I finally got to joke and make everyone laugh again. =) And to see that 06S66

do rocks.

=D

Back when everyone was pure and innocent...:

act-demure lihui, frowning zhiyun and auntie huixin

ahahaha.

Not to forget sometime at the start of the year, I acknowledged kiameng as papa. -.- I thought that kiameng with his round belly and peaceful smile looked fatherly. I said it so many times that he eventually called me son. lol.

Angel and Mortal letters lasted till Valentine's. My angel was Chai Ling and mortal was Guat Pei. =)

Chai Ling's postcards

Consecutively, she used 3 Fun with Dick & Jane postcards.

I watched the movie eventually. It sucks.

Guat Pei's letters

My first time watching a concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Stefanie Sun's concert. Cheapest also 60 dollars loh. I don't understand who so rich and stupid to go and pay 188 to watch Rain. >=( Rain only mah, now I see rain everyday.

But it was nice because we got our seats upgraded to the 90 dollars one since there were empty seats. But still, it was very far away from stage.

there, that whitish thing in the centre is yanzi

I had my first CS. Did CS twice for the whole year, ponning once or twice. And I never knew what CS means.

c*** suck*ng?

Le0 would tell me in the morning "Hey yingqun you are going for CS session today!" lol

The first one was the traditional stoning CS where everyone was to sit for 1.5hours and could not do anything. No handphones, no homework, no mp3, no talking and NO SLEEPING. Means we had to O.O for a whole 1.5hours. lol.

The second one was much relaxing because we got to study for the Promos. =D

Ponning lessons like CSP. I forgot what CSP stands for too. Some... C*** S*** Programme i guess?

ya. like i care.

First 3 months passed quickly. We bade farewell to Qi Chao and Wang Ming who got transferred to VJ. =( Zhi Yun and Martin were the lucky ones whose appeals were successful. We remember how fortunate they felt when they knew they got to stay with 06S66. Zhi Yun was so excited that she cried and hugged all the girls.

3 months were short, but the bond was definitely forming.

World Cup was held in Germany during our June holidays.

Block tests, the first major assessment came right after June holidays. I think I only realised it on the last week of holidays. So mug for what? Bleah. I still managed to pass the tests with flying colours.

ya, as if.

The results were mailed to our home with our self-addressed envelopes. My mother was so shocked that it so sucked that for once in my entire schooling life she was concerned about my studies. =_= duh.

And before you all label me as "stupid", do not forgot that I got straight A for 'O' levels okay!?

And omg look, I really isn't wasn't that stupid

Also, I returned to volleyball after spending half-year aimless with no stable CCA. I have been going for training consistently till now. Seems like vball is still where I best belong to. =)

After Block Tests were some crazy endless mugging (er, not really) for the Promos which came damn fast. So fast that I don't remember doing anything significant from July-September.

Fearing that I get retained or get the same what-the-hell results in BT, I studied harder this time round, but obviously not hard enough.

Ya there was improvement. But nevertheless, it still SUCKED. Urgh, I did not manage to qualify for H3. Disappointed.

And this time round I was smart enough to hide my results. =] Why bother to see such disappointing results. I shall work hard and show them my results slip when I get straight As.

Our whole class did pretty badly too. lol. All the guys were worrying about retention. Fortunately, everyone successfully promoted. ! :]

Gone were the crazy mugging days. Class chalet came during the December holidays.

Waiting for sunrise

It was the first time I ever had a 'class' chalet. And actually it was the first time I experienced "class spirit". (My Pri Sch class was not bad too, but duh all kids are friends with one other) All because most of us were from the High School which was all-boys. This has to be the greatest transition after entering JC.

Chalet was,... fun. (I have poor vocab) (and grammar) (My english sucks)

looks like ice-kachang

Christmas this year was surprisingly not spent at home.

Orchard Road was all lit up. Freaking waste electricity. -_-

But they were attractive nevertheless. Even the banglas took leave to come watch.

=)

The class also had a post-Xmas BBQ with the seniors.

=)

...

Hahaha, not forgetting all year round, we were doing so many stupid stuffs in class during lesson time like:

Taking voyeur shots

=x

=xX

=XXX

Doing useless stuffs

nengjie's little aliens

kiameng's dung of blu-tack kept us entertained for several lessons.

Taking stupid photos

u take me i take u

loving birds~

Not surprisingly, most of these things done and photos taken were during Physics lab/tutorials and GP lessons. LOL.

Of course there are much more stuffs that happened which I can't possibly list down. There were endless class outings, trips to town, movie trips as well. =)

...

That concludes the major events that happened to me in 2006 which really isn't that major. I did not go for any overseas trip or did anything great. But all in all it was still a memorable and enjoyable year. Ok, hope everyone had a great 2006, cause mine sucked. =)

But anyway nothing we can change now, so lets pray we have a great 2007.

Yeap! :]
